Curtea de Argeș, Târgu-Mureș and Sibiu are set to experience rapid development with the construction of new highway sections. Sibiu will be less than three hours away from Bucharest once the Pitești - Sibiu highway is completed in 2027. In 2024, the first section of this highway will bring modern infrastructure to Curtea de Argeș.

Furthermore, Târgu-Mureș, once isolated from the rest of the country, will become a major road hub with the completion of the A3 to Cluj and the start of construction on the A8 in 2024.

Târgu Mureș, a vibrant city in central Romania, is undergoing a transformative phase with the development of new highways, turning it into a pivotal road hub. This culturally rich metropolis is known for its diverse heritage, evident in the architectural blend of Romanian, Hungarian, and Saxon influences. As the A3 highway reaches Cluj and the A8 project kicks off, Târgu Mureș is poised to become a strategic center for business and travel. Beyond its historical charm, the city offers a dynamic atmosphere, with bustling markets, cultural events, and a lively culinary scene. With enhanced accessibility, Târgu Mureș is on the brink of unlocking its full potential, beckoning both investors and tourists to explore its unique blend of tradition and modernity.

The new airports, especially the highways, will enhance the economic competitiveness of these cities. Previously overlooked by investors or not fully tapping into their maximum potential, these cities will become more attractive to those looking to develop manufacturing units and tourists alike.

In a groundbreaking move, all segments of the A1 highway from Pitești to Sibiu that are under construction will be completed or nearly completed by 2024. This means that a new city will, for the first time, be connected to modern infrastructure in 2024. The journey from Bucharest to Curtea de Argeș will take no more than one and a half hours, compared to the current two and a half hours.

Curtea de Argeș holds a revered place in Romanian history, having served as the capital of the Wallachian state during the late Middle Ages. The city boasts architectural gems like the stunning Argeș Monastery, a masterpiece of Byzantine-influenced design, where past rulers and royalty found their final resting place. In recent times, Curtea de Argeș has witnessed a revival, fueled by the ambitious infrastructure projects underway. With the imminent completion of the A1 highway connecting it to modern transportation networks, Curtea de Argeș is poised to regain its prominence. This revitalization not only enhances the city's connectivity but also positions it as an attractive destination for both cultural enthusiasts and investors, bringing a renewed sense of vitality to its rich historical roots.

By 2027, Sibiu will be approximately 250 km of highway away from Bucharest, allowing a travel time of about two and a half hours—faster than reaching Brașov via the most open route on DN1. While the Prahova Valley has multiple resorts, in Sibiu, Păltiniș is likely to attract the most tourists, becoming much more accessible than it is now.

Păltiniș, nestled in the picturesque Carpathian Mountains near Sibiu, is set to become a tourism hotspot with improved accessibility through the new highways. Known for its stunning landscapes, Păltiniș is not only a charming mountain resort but also the oldest in Romania, boasting a rich history and a unique blend of traditional and modern attractions. Visitors can expect a variety of outdoor activities, from hiking and skiing in the winter to exploring the lush forests and meadows in the warmer months. With the enhanced infrastructure, Păltiniș is poised to attract even more tourists, becoming a sought-after destination for those seeking a tranquil retreat amidst nature's beauty.
